Gastrointestinal Panel

What Is the GPCR Gastrointestinal Panel?

The GPCR Gastrointestinal Panel is a comprehensive stool-based molecular test designed to detect a wide range of bacterial, viral and parasitic pathogens that commonly cause gastrointestinal infections.

This advanced PCR test identifies infectious agents responsible for symptoms such as diarrhoea, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, fever and dehydration. It is particularly useful for persistent digestive symptoms, food poisoning, travel-related illness or unexplained gastrointestinal disturbances.

What This Test Measures

Your GPCR Gastrointestinal Panel includes detailed analysis of:

  • Enteroaggregative E. coli

  • Clostridium difficile Toxin A/B

  • Enteropathogenic E. coli

  • Enteroinvasive E. coli / Shigella

  • Enterotoxigenic E. coli (LT/ST)

  • Campylobacter spp

  • Salmonella spp

  • Plesiomonas shigelloides

  • Shiga-like toxin producing E. coli O157:H7

  • Shiga-like toxin producing E. coli stx1/stx2

  • Vibrio parahaemolyticus

  • Vibrio cholerae

  • Yersinia enterocolitica

  • Vibrio vulnificus

  • Astrovirus

  • Adenovirus

  • Norovirus GI/GII

  • Sapovirus (GI, GII, GIV, GV)

  • Rotavirus A

  • Cyclospora cayetanensis

  • Cryptosporidium spp

  • Giardia lamblia

  • Entamoeba histolytica

These markers help identify bacterial, viral and parasitic infections affecting the gastrointestinal tract, supporting accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment decisions.
